Issuing agency is responsible for arresting or placing a hold on an offender. An offender may be held in custody for questioning concerning another crime, or while waiting transfer to another facility or jurisdiction. The offender may not be released until the hold is removed. This field is the number that is assigned to the offender by the computer when the individual is booked. The booking number consists of a two character year, a one character facility code, and a five character sequencial code.
This field represents the Disposition of a Criminal Court Case. If the case is On Appeal, the case will not be releasable unless it is releasable on bond. If the case is disposed, the case is releasable, regardless of bonds. Valid values are: "A" Case On Appeal "D" Case Disposed " " Case Active
This field is a code to describe whether the charge is a felony, misdemeanor or ordinance violation. A felony is an offense punishable by by imprisonment of one year or more. A misdemeanor is an offense punishable by a fine or imprisonment of less than one year. An ordinance is an offense involving a municipal statute (law) passed by the county or city council, and governing matters not already governed by federal or state laws. This field is a county assigned number which corresponds to the violation or crime for which an offender is implicated. Each offense code corresponds to a specific TCA code. However, each TCA code may have more than one offense code which refers to it.
This field is the code assigned by the state legislature to distinguish the criminal or noncriminal activity for which a subject is accused. This is an abbreviation for "Tennessee Code Annotated."
This field represents the Disposition of a specific charge. Unless all charges are disposed the case indicator should be " " (active). Valid values are: "A" Case Under Appeal "D" Case Disposed "R" Case Retired/Uapprehended "V" Case Under Diversion "F" Case Under Final Judgment " " Case Active
This field contains the Unique Attorney Number used identify the attorney associated with a case.
This field representes the Identification Number for a specific Escrow Account. It will be assigned internally by the computer system when the Escrow Account is entered.
This field is the code for a person's race. The NCIC (National Crime Information Center) manual states that Hispanics should be entered with the race code most closely representing the individual. This field is the code for a person's sex. VALID CODES: "M" MALE "F" FEMALE
This field is the number of a specific charge group assigned to an offender's booking number.
This field is the sequence number of the charge that is being referenced. An example is when a case is being appealed and a motion for new trial is granted Then a new charge is added with a reference to the original charge that is being retried.
This field is a reference number assigned to each indictment by the Attorney General's office. It is formatted as follows: xx - two alpha characters 9999 - four numeric characters
This field is the code use to indicate the reason for settlement of the offender's criminal indictment. It is possible for the offender's criminal indictment to have multiple dispositions because a disposed case can be reopened and then disposed. This field is a reference number assigned to each preindictment and postindictment by the Criminal Court Clerk's Office. Each preindictment number will begin with the leter "J". Each postindictment number will begin with a number. An indictment is an accusation in writing, found and presented by a grand jury, charging the persons name of committing a crime.

The Indictment Charge Sequence Number will be used to uniquely identify each charge recorded. This field will also reside on the Case to hold the sequence number of the last charge recorded in order to determine what to assign to the next charge when it is entered. The sequence number residing on the Case will be used internally by the programs.
This field is the name of the Indictment Name. The Indictment Name is the known the Defendant is indicted under in Criminal Court.
This field is a unique number assigned to an offender after he/she has been positively identified The offender will receive this same number for all subsequent arrests. This number is assigned by the RNI (Records and Identification) section.
